His courage comes from when his friends are in trouble and robin was not even there in his mind. He only knew these people for less than a day so the fact that he even risked his life at all shows he is way more courageous than most people.

2024-04-18 16:56:13 +0000 UTCBro.. when i saw the scene with Ussop and the Tonttatas for the first time many years ago, i was so mad at Ussop and i thought at that same moment the Tonttatas were really dead with each time they yelled "Pigya" . Ussop may have a better physique and better weapons, but his mentality still that of a coward.. got a long way to achieve his dream of becoming "Brave warrior of the sea".

After the Timeskip I really hoped that he would man up a bit more... but he is bascially the same. I mean, pretty much all Strawhats are basically the same, they just got some new abilities. And it would be weird if suddenly Usopp was a different Character after the Timeskip, because people like Usopp for how he was since the beginning. But for me personally... meh.

It was kinda annoying that they didn't try with usopp shooting the tabasco as that was one of his go-to moves before. But I guess they showed it wouldn't have worked with the sticky guy / fly situation.
