They just don't make modern romcom animes like this anymore, for better or for worse. It does feel a bit frustrating, sometimes, especially when you see some of these kinda get dragged out a little bit... but, at the end of the day, it is one of the reasons why Kimi ni Todoke has a special place in my heart when it comes to classic romance animes.
