Shion can make garbage taste good, that does not mean she knows how to cook.

Some details about the device they made. It collects and stores magicules to do whatever thing you need it to. The reason it's perfect for Tempest is because you have such a large concentration of powerful monsters because Rimuru can't stop bringing home strays and naming them. So it's not just the amount of monsters, it's also how powerful they all are. The more evolved, the more they put out. The more they put out, the more other monsters are born in the forest. Like the cave where Rimuru started all those powerful monsters didn't live in there. They spawned there because of all of Veldora's magicules leaking out all over the place. And since they are in a sword and fantasy type world, this is game breaking tech. We've been talking or seeing in the last few episodes the world reacting to all the things Rimruru is doing. Now what if his partners in the Dwarf Kingdom or places like Falmuth if Yohm gets crowned king could do with technology like this. That's why I love Slime it presents it to you as this small thing, but later it's shown how world changing it is.

No, the spelling was correct.

So many people keep forgetting that this is world building series first, and all action is secondary. All of the stuff in this episode is important and is setting up even more important stuff later.

Rimuru never knew who the "he" is ... it was only revealed to the audience but during Walpurgis (probably butchered the spelling) Rimuru and Milim try to find out who "he" is from Clayman but Clayman didn't say anything because its a rule of those clowns to not betray their clients

We already saw the merchant an episode or 2 ago, when Hinata said she got a tip about Rimuru from a merchant from the east (for comparison, Clayman's territory like w/ Milim's is in the east relative to the Great Forest, map wise, IIRC he's the north-east most territory of demon lords, not counting Guy who is all the way to the north on an entirely different continent that is a wasteland 100%). Dude has a long af ponytail, like to waist or ass levels, even tho we only rly saw a silhouette of him. Edit: did a bit of googling, I think I found a decent map showing the area layout, although it's a bit outdated now that a Clayman got the clap & all that: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/tensei-shitara-slime-datta-ken/images/f/fc/World_Map_with_eldorado.png/revision/latest?cb=20220103063428

I NEED SOME ACTION PLEASE!! EVEN IF IT'S JUST A FLASHBACK, I'M DESPERATE

One would think with so many still scenes with these meetings, they would save time and animation budgets for the action scenes, but Eight Bit and Bandai just count their cash instead.

I think this episode was well done cause in this show you have a lot of different nations and this really helps lay out all the plot points and actions of the lesser known ones which could be really helpful for people who might not follow as closely as others to the world building and other content of the show. So I personally am fine with these slower episodes cause I know it’s building to something. If it doesn’t, then that’s where I’d be pretty disappointed but as long as I get a payoff I won’t complain too much.

That Time I Was Reincarnated Into A Bunch Of Meetings That Could Have Been Emails. On a more serious note, this problem was also present in the first half of the second season, where you basically had two episodes back-to-back where they did almost nothing other than discussing things. The way they structured it in the first episode this season felt better, because they actually had an entire developing story that was actively happening, we just got told about it retroactively. But when the episode mostly consists of planning and reminding us of characters most of us already know, it starts to drag. I think the second half of the second season did this much better, where the discussions and the action were staggered. You had some initial planning, then Benimaru and the "army" went to fight against Clayman's troops. During these fights, you had other discussions about the plans for Walpurgis, then had Shuna, Souei and Hakurou go and attack Clayman's castle. Whilest they fought, Rimuru prepared for Walpurgis and departed there. It gave a nice mix of exposition and action.
