Though, I am mildly concerned at how shota-leaning the MC is, whether this is accurate to the source material or a conscious design choice by the animators of this particular adaptation 🤔

You could see the night sky because the suns light wasn’t refracting across that part of the sky. That’s actually what could happen if there was just a hole in the atmosphere.

2024-04-29 20:38:52 +0000 UTCYeah this series has a good balance of comedy & action + fanservice (both male (arguable if Lloyd counts cuz femboi looks) & female), as well as a surprisingly decent animation budget as well apparently. Joe doesn't know science, huh? Lloyd DELETED THE ATMOSPHERE PARTIALLY on that spot, and without the atmosphere refracting light, you ONLY SEE THE VOID OF SPACE like at night w/ minimal light pollution from sun, that's literally what space looks like on moon (well kinda, it's basically more prettified like how in sci-fi animes you often see space isn't 100% black af but more oil-y rainbow-ish in saturation color, probably to make it visually easier to see than raw blackness?) w/o an atmosphere ruining the visuals by blocking the raw visuals of space itself by bending sunlight into a canopy of sorts to cover the planet (this is what creates the "blue" sky we see, after all)
