MC is a balanced build, lanklet there is the power build, and edgelord there is the counter type of fighter. Joe nah Suo is right, imagination is important for empathizing, because you have to be able to imagine the potential scenarios of you being in their shoes in any given encounter etc, and experience helps to enable far more accurate & varied simulations for that
