Obviously it looks weird with the money, but imagine that you'd owe someone a certain amount of goods. Let's say you need to deliver 50 planks of wood to somebody. You go to the location of their company, unload the 50 planks, then stand aside. If a group of random passersby comes running in and stealing the planks from the other person's business location, then that's not really your fault or responsibility, is it now? Granted, placing money in the open like this does portray a more apparent risk of having it stolen by others... but I'd still place >most< of the responsibility on those that steal the money, not those that have it stolen from them.
