It was a passing phase, thank goodness, and I abandoned the idea long before it took root, but between my own Lutheran roots and my years working for a Catholic college, I've been around a lot of religious people. Not to criticize anybody's religion, of course -- you'd need a few more drinks in me before I'd go opening up that can of worms. But suffice to say, when your campus has a chlamydia epidemic and Father Tim is insisting my department refrain from educating the students about STD prevention...
Well, let's just say I dedicate this story to Father Tim. :)
(There's no chlamydia in it. Just churchy stuff.)
