I've read the novels and love the story, but this CG is ruining it. The sheer volume of it in random still shots is making me cringe. I can live with it during combat like with arifureta but why did that scene with 3 lines of dialoge switch to CG in 3 different spots

I feel the same as you... I'm just sad there messing up the adaption. its in my top 20 light novels honestly and I have read a lot...

The artwork in the manga is great too, the monsters are sufficiently creepy

this studio did trinity seven back in the day, and they did blue period and chained soldier recently
chained soldier kinda makes all of this artstyle madness make sense. good fanservice, awkward cg, and occasionally great sakuga lol. all over the place but overall decent
I'm more interested now that we're out of the dungeon!

Oh it is. From all of the revenge type Isekai I watched, it's the best one. Along with some So I'm a Spider so What? vibe with the classmates isekaid and the overaching plot.

I would add something that made me crazy of how hard it is to find it in the episode, but it tells a lot about the world and how it works : the guys Touka killed were otherworlders descendants.

The western theme at the end reminds me of Sasuke's theme in Naruto. Touka has some Sasuke vibes too now that I think about it.

As strange as it sounds, I like Asagi. She doesn't care at ALL about etiquettes, she has weird ways of saying her stuff, but the way she acted and how leads her group, shows she cares about the others. She doesn't want her classmate to be disposed of like Touka... and wants to come back to Japan.
