Also don't worry about the trash, Joe. You're not gonna have any, because there are no trash cans. They don't want you to eat anything outdoors. I didn't know that, so I walked for hours in the middle of the night looking for a trash can after eating some McDonald's takeaway. Eventually I dumped it into someone's personal trash can and quickly fled the scene. Drinks however, near every vending machine there's a recycle bin for plastic bottles. At least that's how it was in Tokyo. Maybe other places do have trash cans?
