Remember how Elbaph Giants worship the sun? The Minks seem to have a theme focused on the Dawn based on what we see. Both of em should date back to Void Century times since Giants can live for like 300+ years as we saw, so great grandpa gen of current gen Giants should have lived in Void Century potentially. Hell Luffy is prolly reincarnation of Roger in a sense (as far as his Will goes, as per Will of D) considering how many ppl compare him to the latter constantly. And hell Roger does look like an older Luffy when he's grinning in the shots we've seen, so it's not that farfetched for ppl to think Luffy reminds them of Roger. Clearly this world is cyclical or w/e based on tons of the bits we've seen so far. Hopefully Oda won't pussy out & will actually spit 100% of the shit out for us before the final saga ends
