HitH 34, "An Audience"
Added 2021-12-01 23:10:44 +0000 UTCDidn't quite take me a month, but here we are, a new HitH! And true to my word, the final chapter. This was the February commission drawing winner, so it only took me about ten months to do their request justice. (Their request, to be fair, was a very simple "do a choose your own adventure story over at ChYOA," to which I responded "how about I make it insanely gigantic.") Anyway, there it is. I hope you had fun reading it! It was a really fun new experiment to write, and getting to steal some illustrations proved reasonably fun, especially once I stopped sucking at it so badly.
In the meantime, we're now ready to go full tilt on Creeps! Remember when I insisted "this won't be something huge like THAL, gang." Well it turns out I was right, as long as I break it into separate chunks. Ta da! Anyway, more to come, and welcome to December!

Like King alludes, Will would be in for some awkward realizations at best. No money, no family, no friends, his only spending power an easily tracked company card, his only transportation an easily tracked company car. I'm not sure if I'd have gone to the extent of him being microchipped, though they'd be stupid not to, but certainly an opportunity to broaden the hint pool for readers. With there being several opportunities to quit, how explicit would probably depend on how far the story had gone.
