Creeps, Ch. 08

At long last! The wait is over, cats and kits. Thanks for being patient with me. First I was away for a week, which put off a lot of real-life stuff, and then I finally got the office painted (which produced fumes that kept me out of here for most of another week). Then there's the way chapter 7 went, leaving me in quite a predicament as to what in the hell our cast were going to do following a confession of that order.

So... yeah. Here's the answer! I debated a lot about where to end it, and in the end I stripped about 6000 words I'd written and put it at the start of the next chapter. I felt like there was enough Kira in chapter 8 not to muddy it with some Stacey, so we'll get to her in the next chapter.

Also! As a head's up, I did a couple footnote jokes in this one that I'm not sure will work right in some of the file formats. It looks good in pdf, but so you know. They're not great jokes, but if you want jokes, check the footnotes.
