This is my biggest critique of people's reactions. He keeps forgetting she has antisocial personality disorder. She is not crazy or dramatic. She literally struggles to understand and feel emotions. That is a REAL diagnosis. and this show is a commentary on that, autism, and trauma. Some of the options are very one-dimensional. Ko Moon-young is selfish but I noticed it's never on purpose. I also don't like people calling her a psychopath. I actually have 2 favorite psychopath characters and their personality and behaviors are very different from hers. The psycho from Mouse and the villain from vincenzo (didnt put the names so i don't spoil).

Ko Mun-yeong is one of my favorite and most intriguing characters in K-dramas, second only to Woo Young-woo. There are so many layers to her personality, and we see her evolve throughout the series. Her initial obsession with Gang-tae is gradually turning into genuine love. I love her brashness, but also the fact that she is, in reality, very vulnerable. She puts up a facade of toughness and develops an antisocial personality to hide her vulnerability. Moon Gang-tae is beginning to notice this, but Dr. Oh is the only one who truly sees it, though he doesn’t yet understand the cause. Dr. Oh accurately recognizes her as having a psychological disorder that requires intervention. His way of helping her is by having her teach a class, which serves as a kind of therapy. He also encourages the attraction between Gang-tae and Mun-yeong, knowing that they are the only ones who can truly heal each other.
I understand your frustrations with Mun-yeong, but we can't and shouldn't expect her to perceive situations like a typical person would. As mentioned, she has an antisocial personality disorder. We haven't yet been fully shown the reasons behind this, although there was a subtle hint from the trauma she endured when her father strangled her as a child. As a result of her disorder, she struggles to distinguish between what is socially right or wrong. She exhibits many of the classic traits of antisocial personality disorder. She’s reckless, aggressive, impulsive, manipulative, and shows almost no empathy. She has little regard for other people’s feelings, except possibly for Gang-tae’s. All these behaviors can be attributed to her untreated psychological disorder (as far as we know in the story). That’s why I was never frustrated or angry with her behavior throughout the series. While I was unsure of her character in the first episode, by the end of the second, I was fully on Team Ko Mun-yeong, and she ultimately became one of my all-time favorite K-drama characters. Seo Ye-ji also became one of my favorite actors, despite her alleged personal controversies.
