First draft: The RA 2.3
Added 2022-11-15 17:05:20 +0000 UTCSome scamp baited me away from a delightful, horrible, damning glimpse into my commission work in the Loserverse with a gif of the inimitable Nicola Cavanis, whom I've been greedily using for my Savannah Grey head canon. It spiraled into today's post. It's got Savannah, it's got Janis, it's even got what I think is our first glimpse at Carmen, if very briefly. It also has epiphanies and insights and reveals, with more Guys-in-Chairs end chapter dialogue.
I never know exactly how to pace any given reveal. From Stacey Reeves' sudden "OK now brainwash my sister" after a hundred some pages, to "oh dang this dinner date is actually a Serenex date" after just a few. Anyway, my sense is that the appeal of The RA is far less in the mystery and much more in the voyeurism of an unwitting harem recipient basking in feminine affections. Ergo, I think this chapter starts dropping the veil quite a bit, both for Spencer himself at the end of this chapter, and for us the reader after the end of this chapter. I don't want this to suddenly become a detective story (and it's not really poised to be yet even if for some reason I did), so it will be a hopefully interesting challenge to figure out how to deal with a potentially life-upending realization while still going home at night to your fun new masturbatory shower heads and the gorgeous adoring ladies who love them. We'll make it work. Let me know if you have thoughts on pacing. More to come!

2022-11-17 05:23:26 +0000 UTCBut, wow, *yes*, Nicola Cavanis. My goodness. Speaking of "goodness", I really enjoyed this bizarre chapter of pissed-off sweethearts and protest-too-much ice queens. It's always hilarious to see Spencer completely unwilling to confront his ludicrous good fortune (him not thinking it's jaw-droppingly insane to have Savannah pick a fight over him refusing a blowjob/sex/butt-sex is *chef's kiss*), but there's actually just as much delight in seeing him slooooooowly put the pieces together. I was half expecting one of the memories to be a lab technician explaining how they'd altered his body chemistry to cause all-consuming lust in the women he interacted with, but what we got was still plenty funny. I think this chapter threaded the needle of Answers Are Good and Answers Are For Nerds, and I very much appreciate that your solution was way more blowjobs. Nicely done!
