Cecil’s defenders make no sense. The guy attacks Mark over a disagreement, uses the only advantage he had out of pure pettiness (which was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen a character do in a show), antagonizes the hero, and still expects everything to be fine. Not to mention all the shady crap he does behind the scenes with that bullshit ‘ends justify the means’ excuse. I really hope Mark gets way more short-tempered and ruthless as the show goes on, Cecil needs to be put in his place.

The point is that he’s stupid, he used the only advantage he had against Mark in a pointless fight over a disagreement. Now, if Mark decides he wants to wreck the whole planet, Cecil will die like the stupid prick he is. He should’ve only used that as a last resort. That’s why I don’t like him, his line of thinking is logical, but his ego gets in the way, he’s just a pathetic little human, nothing more.

You expect me to not take measures against the son in case he also turns against us? How naive can you be? What if he gets mind controlled and we don't have anything to stop him with? If this is the wrong thing to do, then I'll keep doing the wrong thing for the sake of our planet. Mark is the Superman archetype who is still just a teen. Although he has a good heart, in his hubris he thinks might makes right. If you don't do things his way, then you're the enemy. And you think I can just ask him to put a chip in him just in case? You really think he's gonna be understanding? Also love how Invincible depicts all the collateral damage.

2025-03-06 22:51:11 +0000 UTCRex sploded I feel the show compared to the comic made him unnecessarily dickish other than cheating on Eve I felt he was pretty chill and he was one of the 1st to side with Invincible over Cecil but they did give him some shine at least and yeah Powerplex is the worst that's one of my nitpicks with this show where they just go after Mark for no reason the reporter asking what could've driven someone to do this sounds like victim blaming Angstrom chose this but no he was driven to it fuck off show
