2025-07-22 01:12:04 +0000 UTCi know i'm months late to this but a cool fact about Korean language, is there are some words that are just English words with a Korean accent, (example: Cheese is 치즈/Chi-jeu , 피자/Pi-ja is Pizza) but in North Korea, they actually rewrote the Korean language so that they don't use those English words, since they're american, and that's their moral enemy! they took those English words, and made a fully Korean word to replace it!

I love the leads and all the surrounding characters. Finding out that they are a couple in real life at the time was the cherry on top. So glad you are doing this.

I'm not familiar with the NK ones but in SK, there are at least 5 big ones outside of the standard Seoul speech. The native Jeju dialect is the most distinct and they do mix it into the dialogue in When Life Gives You Tangerines. 🍊
