For double pedal bass you either just have literally two bass drums, each with their own pedal, or a single drum with a special pedal that has 2 beaters on it. The 2nd beater is operated by a 2nd pedal (your left foot) that attaches to the main via chains/bars/gears

2025-04-18 08:47:03 +0000 UTCFor double pedal basses there’s usually a second foot pedal by the hi-hat. They do have double pedals that have a separate “buttons” so to say for the heel and toe . Most people I know usually just learn to be stupid fast with one pedal though.
