On the weirdness with Angel’s scene, remember that this episode opened with her being /confused/ when told that she was part of the Ranger Force, but before she got integrated, that quote about having called her dad was the last thing she actually said to D. Something is more ‘off’ than her just drinking the Kool-Aid, but D (and us by proxy) doesn’t have what he needs to put the math together. . It’s possible that the guy who invited them to come back on a weekday, was fully intending to get them trapped. Like, if Magatia had some sleeper agent orders for anyone who meets Green Rangers to try and ‘invite’ them during a time “school is in session,” then they wouldn’t be able to oppose it, Gotou being excluded from that directive, of course. . It’s really both D’s biggest weakness and flex. Because he can’t take a hit without his disguise breaking, he has to be careful with hiding, but even when it does break, people who aren’t Rangers are not accustomed to fighting something that can respawn immediately. /And/ he’s one of the best Fighters (specifically in terms of ‘heal’ speed)! Too bad he’s trying to ice skate uphill, he’d be vicious as an assassin to anyone /not/ a Keeper or Boss Monster. . I think the ‘implied’ bit with Wakaba is that it /definitely/ isn’t him, but the Boss Monster (or a Fighter underling?) wearing his face (and clothes, by proxy). Don’t know why a uniform change took place before meeting D, if it was Magatia, but probably because D has zero connection to the previous (lost) Green Rangers?
