It has nothing to do with the psycommu. Newtypes are capable of networking if you pile up multiples together, in a sort of pseudo-mindhive type of thing, it's part of their baseline capabilities besides souped up spatial awareness (if you believe one of the sciencebros, who theorized that if the Newtypes evolve far enough in the future, they can even start to perceive time in a futuresight way (makes sense given how space-time works, since they already have boosted spatial awareness, so it's not that farfetched IMO, even if it's not proven in practice outside of theoretical guesswork)). The psycommu is basically just using their boosted ESP capabilities to remotely control things via the mind alone, not unlike artificial telekinesis so to speak. It seems that Shuuji was her kid (she mentioned that she could finally focus on this type of stuff since her kid is finally an adult now & thus has left home), hence why she died smiling during that reveal scene (we see her gasp during the reveal, which turns into a smile & her asking for affirmation about his goal, in the "are you sure?" way) & the few lines of convo shown. I mean his eyes are probably from the dad since they are red rings unlike the mom, but the hair color at least checks out to both her & the baby we saw in the final pre-death flash. Actually now that I rechecked, the baby didn't have red ring eyes, but maybe that's something caused by the Red Comet Gundam later down the line? Then again baby iris pigmentation can change as they mature over time. This is especially noticeable on people with pale blue irises as infants, which then can later down the line turn to another color (or in the rare mutation, never does, which is how adult pale blue eyed people become a thing)
