The movie they watched in the first few minutes of the episode is a french movie called "La Boum" which literally means "the party ". A classic released in 1980 (in France, I'm actually wondering about South Korea) and is a coming-of-age story. The actress they talked about is Sophie Marceau, well known for her beauty (it was her debut film). The movie's iconic scene is where the teenage girl (Sophie Marceau) is at a party and her crush puts headphones on her with the song Reality by Richard Sanderson. Everyone swing dancing around them while only them are slow dancing. That's what Junghwan's dad reenacted with his wife.

What I never realised up until this rewatch & makes it even better, is the similarity between Dongryong & Junghwan's dad and how they both struggle because they are missing their mom on their birthdays. They're both very bright and fun characters usually in this show but here we see them both very vulnerable for similiar reasons.
