Important Notice from Icarue (and link to games)
Added 2024-02-18 18:37:19 +0000 UTCHey, not to alarm you or anything, but there is a (hopefully) strong possibility that I freeze payments for the next 6-12 months starting March (or April at the latest). THIS SHOULD NOT STOP DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS FOR ANYTHING (Games, comics, drawings, etc). Granted, all votes will be worth the same and all releases will be released at the same time, but other than that, speed and amount of releases shouldn't be affected.
Payments should resume once I know that I can continue with such. This is more of a "legal" issue more than a personal one. I am fine and I'm not burned out. I am looking into the specifics of my options via those who have the expertise to say one way or the other. In the meantime... after the freeze, I would ask Canadians to stop being Patreons (you can be a follower, I just can't receive payments from you) for the time being. There's no surefire way of knowing if you are Canadian, so the best next thing is asking. If I manage to get this sorted out sooner, the freeze period might be shorter.
Economically, I am fine. I have saved money for a while and can continue to commission/pay people for the time being.
For all people who have paid annually, sorry, I just got the notice recently, sorry about it. I am open to giving out refunds, but I am unsure how to start the process... never had to do it before.
TLDR: I might freeze payment BUT everything should continue as normal.

ok after checking info on computer this is a game that is not yours but posted as other games in your server. I do have magic sit on staff. Liked this one. the other is magic sit on hat.

Like another one being Bill C-11 which would make it really hard to be a content creator (in general), but after some review its not as bad (so I'm told).

2024-02-18 20:30:07 +0000 UTCI can't speak for everyone, but if you make a post here or an @ subscriber thingy on discord if you find out about any ways of supporting you during the time you have to suspend Patreon, I'd be more than happy to continue sending monthly support regardless of whether there's "patron exclusives" or anything, I just wanna support devs I love

But since you said the issue is "only" payments from Canada, is there some other way for those of us from elsewhere to still offer support if you suspend payments here? I know you said you have savings, but it still can't be easy to have to worry about anywhere up to a full year with a big chunk of your income being completely cut off :( I'm sure I'm not alone in your supporters who want to offer help, especially during times like this where things must be extremely stressful for you

2024-02-18 20:10:31 +0000 UTCI was told that better to not disclose (by my parents). But it's nothing of the sort. Is just that I can't accept payments from Canadians. So until I get more confirmation, work around or this changes (which should in 6-12 months) then freezing payments is easier.
