They showed that the the datathing they salvaged showed something. But yeah it FEELS like we do not get anywhere which is really unsatisfying. I assume we are gonna race the last 2 EP to the location of skinner and it probably is somewhere simple that for some reason our group was to stupid to consider. Btw how did Hannah know how to use the smoke bomb as someone who never left the cult or had any connection to the outside world? p.S: I am going to assume that all these little plots are not going to build to something bigger like apothecary diaries. That would be one way to make the show feel alot better.

2025-05-12 11:22:19 +0000 UTCI do find myself losing confidence with Lazarus. However, I will continue to the end, as it is the just way. The thing I find about this show is that the direction is very different compared to other shows. We don't really know much about the characters themselves, and quite frankly not much character development to boot. They all feel as if it's still episode 1. Even the tension between Doug and Axel doesn't go anywhere. In other words, the characters and dialogue is stiff. If Lazarus included some SoL bits in between the missions, I feel that it could help flesh out the characters much more. Additionally, the episodes all feel like their episodic by nature. Each episode ends their particular arc seamlessly, with no overlap/continuation. Now that is completely fine in a SoL show, but in a overarching story-driven narrative, a cliffhanger or two wouldn't hurt. Of course, this could all change in a matter of episodes. Shoshimin series S1 did that quite well.
