i think koreans have different clans for their last names so even if there are two people with the same last name eg Kim, if their clans are different, they're not from the same family tree. but i guess the problem with bora and sunwoo is that they're from the same Sung clan, and it was frowned upon for two people from the same clan to get married back then

2025-05-27 22:15:26 +0000 UTCMan this ending will never fail to make me cry, from Bora & her dad to all the neighbors saying goodbye to their street, the nostalgia always hits me even when I wasnt alive in 1988. But the sentiment of youth having passed is perfectly captured here and as someone who just passed 30 recently, this is exactly the stuff that makes me super emotional. Was a great journey watching my favourite drama again with you, out of all the people I saw reacting to this, I think you understood the essence of it the best. If you ever wanna rewatch this at some point on your own, maybe try to watch the version without all the copyright limitations :)
