Very well said, I'm glad someone is explaining Suzuri's side of things. Personally, I like him as a character. A lot of people are more focused on the fighting, and less on the circumstances surrounding the fighting. I don't blame people tho, because the fighting is really captivating.

2025-05-31 04:20:50 +0000 UTCI normally don't pay much attention to the soundtracks of shows but holy FUCK does Wind Breaker's fucking blow me away. All the music is so amazing, I need a playlist of it all so badly! Shizuka having feelings for Kanji was hinted at in their first on-screen interactions 2 episodes ago. Sakura's romance sensor went off seeing them talking lmao. You seemed kind of confused about some of the stuff Suzuri (manbun boy) was talking about so you many have forgotten, but the district they came from had a severe economic crash so it's basically the slums. Everyone there is extremely poor, living conditions are not ideal at best and food is scarce. From the perspective of us and the other characters who live pretty normal, secure lives, Suzuri sounds cold and insane, but he's running entirely on survival mode. He has neither the time, the money, or the resources to indulge in luxuries like music, fancy clothing, etc. Not only does he have to make money to feed himself, he's also in charge of this MASSIVE group that he has to manage and all the members are in a similar position to him - on constant survival mode. Tsubaki really hit the nail on the head. While Suzuri is really only trying to do the job he was hired to do so he can get money to buy food, he talks down to the other characters because he's jealous of their ability to indulge in luxuries he cannot. He's jealous of the stability of their lives. They don't have to worry about when they eat their next meal. Having to fight to survive can make you tough, but it can also make you cruel. The way he says things kind of ticks me off at first, but then I remember his situation and how that has made him act like this and I feel the same as Tsubaki, I pity him.
