I'm quite sure the previous bozo died because of failing to properly recreate the Immortality Drug (since Suirei got relatively slightly off RNG wise as she stated, and one of her sides is literally partially paralyzed/crippled, + the scars on hands/legs too. AFAIK she implied you might be rendered braindead too if your RNG is bad, which makes sense since the potion makes you appear deceased temporarily, we all know what types of side-effects that type of shit can cause for obvious oxygen related reasons), hence why Loulan said "welp it's worth a try, she will just die if she fails, like the previous bozo"
