Such a good movie. And an example where the Sub and Dub are both well done. This is definitely one of my favorite movies I've watched fairly recentlyl.

Yes and i dont think shes right to say that her friends dont understand her at all, however, Tsuneo didn’t understand how LIMITING her life was until he was wheelchair bound himself. The interaction with the girl confessing and he jusy cant do shit except sit there and listen bc he *literally cant walk away* is a different kind of hell to those of us that are impaired mobility wise. The movie does a great job to show how the average Japan citizen(and tbh, how the average able bodied human can have similar views) carries a heavy ableist outlook when going about life, so I get what you mean when u say “she shouldn’t be mad at those who are able bodied” but thats way easier said than done lolol Great reaction, u cried where i cried fr bc every emotional moment in this movie hit hard. I just wanted to say smth as a disabled person bc this movie hits so close to home

The thing you're talking about sounds like a filter that the director of photography, Tsuyoshi Kanbayashi, uses; and he's also the same DoP as Bungo Stray Dogs.
