Hanajima and Kazuma are not actually a couple. I mentioned this in my comment, but the manga has a side note that explains that Hanajima has simply taken up a job in Kazuma's residence as his cook. Its just meant to be a continuation of the "Hana pursues Kyo's dad" joke/saga. She doesn't end up with him. There is a short spin off manga series about the next generation, called "Fruits Basket Another". It reveals that Hana marries an unnamed foreigner and moves to another country. Theres actually an easter egg about this in the anime. If you look at the parent teacher conference episode, Hana lists "become a housewife, and move to a foreign country" as her future goals... Which she does achieve LMAO. The queen meets all her goals.

2025-06-25 01:10:29 +0000 UTCHanajima saw Kazuma for the first time at the parent-teacher meeting. She was instantly drawn to him. Later backstage at the Cinderella-ish play, she was up talking Kyo to him where Kyo begs him not to marry her, LOL! I think we see them maybe once more together before the final episode, but at the very least, they seem to be dating. I love when she tells Kyo to call her Mama at the zoo, lol! Another hint, there. I would love to see more of them, maybe in a follow-up OVA or something. I love this show so much. I've seen it so many times and it still brings me to tears. I really like how they wrap everything up at the end and we get a really cute time skip to their granddaughter. So cute! Thanks for watching this! It was really great watching it again. It's always a different experience when you watch it with someone new.
