I don't normally bother pointing out what parts of the manga were cut or shifted, since there's just too many to count, but I'm gonna at least attempt to do that for this episode, and maybe the next; It's up to you if you want to read through it. Though just to be clear, I'm still currently re-reading the manga, and most details will be a bit vague:
- There are tons of moments where characters would have inner monologues that provides much needed information or sums up their feelings on whatever situation they're in.
- That first scene between D and Angel was originally took place on the surface as Deathmecia was rampaging, which caused a fissure that D fell in, Angel following after him by her fathers orders. And it goes without saying that they both witnessed the emergence of Deathmecia, unlike in the anime; yet he's shown to be aware of his presence for whatever reason.
- Suzukiri was also supposed to make a brief appearance in the underground room, telling D that she's giving up on fighting the rangers, officially dissolving their alliance and leaves with the clones. Angel shows up in the middle of the conversation and explains the role of the Dragon Priestess; I can't remember all the details off the top of my head, but to sum up, the clones are basically used as material to create the Divine Artefacts.
- There was supposed to be a flashback where Dai Dai provides Angel with the spherical object, a Divine Artefact Replica. He also mentions that was sure she could handle it as a half monster, and that he knew for certain the she was "Special, and the key in the battle to come, more so than even her father".
- I think I recall D and Angel actually working together to defeat Aizome, D acting as a decoy to create an opening that Angel took advantage of to deal heavy damage, and then gets injured as she tries to get a second hit in.
- Hwalipon is also supposed to be still alive at this point in the story, but they not only sped up the conclusion to his battle with Pink Keeper, they cut out his second form completely. Their fight doesn't even start til AFTER the fight with Aizome. Not to mention the fight itself is longer and more complex. He's also shown streaming the seemingly one-sided battle between Deathmecia and the Dragon Keepers while spreading more truth and whatnot.
- It's revealed that there are multiple copies of Hwali hiding in the societies fortress, picking off Pink squadron members one-by-one, but Pink Keeper locates the real one using a divine artefact. There's also scenes with a bunch of named Pink squadron members, all with fun personalities.
- There's a long interesting scene with Hibiki (before meeting with his sister) and a red squad member who tries to play dead among his fellow members; I'm not exactly sure if I'd call it an IMPORTANT scene to provides a lot of context, but let's just say it has a lot of impact to it would've made the battle feel more... real and dire.
-There's a bunch of moments that take place before D encounters Hisui, but there's a slight chance they'll show them next episode... but knowing the anime, they won't =| they're trying to fit a 10 to 15 chapter climax into a single friggin' episode.
Phew, that took a lot outta me, and that wasn't even close to the full picture. Honestly, I don't even think a 48 min long episode could properly flesh out the climax. Here's hoping they at least make it feel impactful.
