it tends to happen a lot with translating Chinese. The problem is that a lot of Chinese is dependent on historical proverbs or idioms, which either don't make any sense in other languages, or are only understood if you know Chinese history. You see it a lot in unofficial translations and even sometimes official translations of Manhua. They end up having to make something that still sounds kind of similar, but also sounds kind of cool o English readers, and the entire message gets destroyed.

2025-06-29 01:01:27 +0000 UTCBro the subs seem to be cooked somewhat. Lil sis' school is wrong (like comments said, she's 15, and she's at a Technical School, not Backlund University. Also the Luck Enhancement Ritual words got cooked, it's supposed to be 4 different sentences, which are basically variants of the same-ish glyphs in Chinese (you can actually hear all 4 stages sound same-y when he recites them), hence why only like a couple of the words in each sentence is different). I'm gonna be honest w/ you also, I've only ever eaten lamb during easter times... The Fool Tarot card is Gusha (e.g Fool's Gold uses it similarly, so whereas baka is an idiot, gusha means "fool") in Japanese.
