PART 5 ( yeah this one's long, but it deserves some extra attention) After the flashback, Deathmecia is buried under rubble by Chidori’s final attack. But before he can finish him off, a blinding flash gives Deathmecia the chance to strike—knocking Chidori out. The flash came from Angel, now fully taken over by her mother. She sprouts angel wings, & both eyes turn white. We enter Angel’s mindscape, where she & Juli talk—it’s implied the earlier flashback was Juli telling her story. Angel seems sympathetic at first, prompting Juli to thank her, saying, “You connected our love! A true Angel.” Back in reality, Angel holds a divine artifact replica… and slams it into her right eye socket. Juli screams, “Angel! Why?!” Angel casually replies: “Well… it’s just… hearing about my parents being all lovey-dovey… is kinda GROSS!” Back in reality, Angel activates the artifact through her now bloody eye socket and pierces her father with a beam of light that sends him crashing through a wall, prompting D to cheer. Exhausted, she collapses to her knees. Hisui approaches and asks if it’s okay to finish her father off. Angel gives her the go-ahead. It’s absolutely criminal that the anime cut this scene ENTIRELY. It’s not just a badass moment—it’s a defining turning point for Angel. Beyond the shock value, it represents choice, sacrifice, and defiance. After being manipulated by both her “parents” and torn between conflicting ideologies, this act is Angel taking back control in the most brutal, symbolic way possible. She harms herself to break free and protect others—gaining power in both a literal and metaphorical sense. The injury she sustains isn’t just physical; it marks her transformation. Cutting this scene undermines one of the most cathartic emotional climaxes in her entire arc. I can't believe there's still more cut content to go through, but I've thoroughly exhausted myself and would like to head to bed XD
