Squid Game S3 Ep. 6 Reaction [FULL]

good show. The end is certainly not as bad as some people are saying but this could have easily just stayed a 1 season series.

Humans are..complex. I had to sit w the ending for a while and also see a few rxns to realize as much as we want the happy ending. It was actually very fitting and more realistic. And some quite powerful moments that brought me to tears. Like when he said goodbye to the baby and he falls off. The blowing up of the island(which was also a goodbye to the literal sets/series..at least the Korean version) and the daughter finding out her dad passed. And yes the small victories do mean something(the little girl that got her dad back and isn’t sick anymore, saebyoeks mom and bro reuniting, baby surviving by keeping his promise to 222, and his daughter being set for life), that’s the hope and faith in humanity gihun was fighting for. And considering the writer who is also the director only originally planned this as 1season like most kdramas, but he made no money on it (which is so messed up). So I don’t blame him for making the other seasons to get a better deal with Netflix. But ideally he wanted to end it with the first, so he did a good job overall i think.

333 is a good actor unfortunately to me I didn’t like how they made him the villain. Season 2 he was always trying to get back with Jun hee, after every rejection he never stopped. In season 3 I liked the part where he killed 120, it’s good for Jun hee and 333 relationship plot. I did wish, they had 333 sacrifice himself in the final round to Jun hee and the baby. I feel like he deserves more of a redemption.

Fully agree that it was just part 1/2 of season 2, but I really liked the show. I was really disappointed at the end of "season 2" when it was obviously not the end of the season, but the story they told in the remaining 6 episodes, while horifically bleak, was really good - still one of the best shows I've watched on Netflix - and I think it stayed true to their characters - especially Gihun. Of course it's a bit of a cop out to have 222 mk. II win, but there's not really any other way to end it without Gihun winning everything and taking down the games, which isn't realistic. I doubt he's the first to try to stop it, and I'm sure he won't be the last if they do continue with this Squid Game world like the roadmap suggests. Also, I haven't seen that guy who played 333 in anything else, but his acting in particular in the final episode was incredible. The whole cast minus the VIPs was excellent, really, and while there were obviously a few plotlines left unfinished (poor Junho and his aimless trek around the ocean for nothing), that's life, really. The bad guys often win too. Great show imo.

I can't believe they got Cate freaking Blanchett to be the Recruiter for the American version of the game in the final scene of the series.

They might do the next season in America and have Front Man as the new main. My guess in that case is they might move production to America (Front Man's actor is already an accomplished American actor who was in Hollywood films before Squid Game, so he'd be easy to produce and act in an American property). Another reason to move production to America is to prevent that bad acting that we see from Americans in Korean media.
