It's a sweet little detail that when Bonney thinks about Nika's appearance, a figure that is the embodiment of freedom and is essentially a superhero, she pictures Kuma. My head cannon is that her Distorted Future: Nika-Like Future gives her the form of a Buccaneer is because she imagines Kuma to be like Nika.

And I wouldn’t say it’s Dragons biggest shame that was the intention of that scene, yes he probably feels shame but what it was implying is if people found out Luffy is his son they can use Luffy as a hostage or bargaining chip to bring down the revolutionaries because it is Dragons “biggest weakness/weak spot”
