I've heard some express that they /specifically/ enjoy this OP more than the first season's due to it not being as overstimulating? . . . . . There's some disagreement in which way things went with intent, but that (Evil Eye protecting the kids without realizing it) seems to be the going theory. The /type/ of yokai likely does work exactly as TG describes, but this one had "competition" with a deathworm and no understanding of actually /wanting/ others to take themselves out. Yet, because it has beef with people who seemed to stay alive through the years, he wants multiple lifetimes of revenge that could /never/ be enough...? Something like that?
