This was incredibly significant because the last Japanese horse to do so was, Simboli Rudolph. Afterwards, there's another gap of JP loses before Special Weeks victory that heralded in an era of JP dominance against international horses at the Japan Cup. So Teio actually had two insane comebacks during his career. And his nickname? The Monarch. Side note, Teio's second outfit is a phoenix rising from the ashes. Surprised you didn't catch on to that.
