tbf for neutrality reasons it is only the instrumental that is the anthem of the EU. If there were lyrics it would have favoured the german speaking countries as they are in german.

In English it's known as "Ode to Joy". The poem itself was written by Friedrich Schiller (German poet). The song is actually the official anthem of the Council of Europe and the European Union, so it has considerable significance even among big pieces of classical music.
