You more or less got it after the 3rd Episode, but this series is very much just Elaina documenting her Journey. Unlike a lot of stories she's not a MC looking to use her powers to make the world a better place, sure she'll step in if something directly impacts her or she has something to gain, but otherwise she's very much just a traveler recounting her stories & doesn't overly want to get involved with these situations
