Patreon Issues
Added 2025-09-21 15:16:05 +0000 UTCA few people have informed me of some issues Patreon seems to be having. I imagine this is a result of some update that had a bug that they are now working to fix.
The Fullscreen Issue: Specifically with the Streamable embeded videos (Streamable is the video hosting platform i use) some people say they cant go fullscreen. This issue seems to only take place on the main page but if you click the individual post then you should be able to go full screen from the player in the individual post, but in some cases you might not have video controls.
Another issue is that it seems people have an issue finding my Patreon profile and it says things like "something went wrong, try again later". This seems to be exclusive to the Patreon mobile APP... Try using a different device or use your web browser for the time being and just check on this occasionally to see if the issue resolves.

The page won't work, but new posts can still be accessed in the feed on mobile. Annoying but at least not fully cut off.

2025-09-21 16:40:00 +0000 UTCEmbedded players (like using Streamable instead of uploading directly to Patreon) require open the vide in the browser when on mobile. The Patreon App doesn't embed external videos, only the desktop site does. Streamable player doesn't go into landscape when you switch to fullscreen like nearly all other players do, it keeps the video in the center of the screen in portrait mode. You need to unlock screen rotation on your phone for it to go into landscape. You can also force the rotation if your phone supports it, that is a feature one some Android phones but its not a core Android feature so some brands might not have it, its a little icon that appears in the corner when you rotate your phone with screen rotation locked. Haven't had any problem on the web page on desktop, nor on Patreon's App, but some of the third-party services Patreon uses had problems recently so it might have been their fault and not a Patreon update.
