Yea, honestly the ship is the most sus. If we assume gnosia are a huge problem, as in essentially planet killing scale, there would be clear protocol to deal with them. Save a handful of refugees, or roll the dice on losing a planet. It’s not even a debate. And if they aren’t a huge threat, then instead of this amongus game that’s based on social engineering, why isn’t the ship proposing a more clear solution? If we assume it has the ability to detect the gnosia inside the ship, what about outside the ship? And what about inside the cold sleep boxes? Assuming that there is a mechanism to detecting gnosia, then there are a million other options that could be done to safely solve this whole situation, like sending personnel up to the ship to then individually check everyone, etc etc. Unless there’s something preventing that from happening…such as their fundamental situation not being what everyone seems to be accepting.
