A bit on how I create forms.
Added 2023-04-29 01:54:49 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I last posted. My apologies; life always gets in the way of fun, and I've recently fallen into financial distress thanks to tax season. I'm trying to understand how a low-income family with 3 children could have to pay nearly 3 grand in income tax, like WTF. Anyway...
This video is about 20 minutes long of me working on creating the What's New on AOL form from scratch. This is how I've been creating all the forms that I have not found when perusing through all the main.idx files a lot of you have sent me.
It usually takes me about a day - in total time when I'm able between work and family - to find all the required art (if I can find it) before I begin reconstructing the form from a reference image. Which is what you'll see in the video. There is no video editing, just recorded and uploaded so please be aware that there is profanity (potty mouth).
Also to note, this is not the complete reconstruction, just 20 minutes of me briefly explaining and showing how I reconstruct lost forms.
I plan on doing a full video/stream at some point of me recreating another form from start to finish when I can set aside a day to do so. This will be of course after I've found most or all of the required image assets for the form.
Enjoy, and thanks for the support. I really appreciate it. I want more than anything to be able to work on the project full-time because I really enjoy doing this, but at this point, it is very difficult to set aside a few hours a day let alone a full day.
Thanks so much,
Mike (Zip)

Great work, I find this kinda work so interesting, mainly because the possible forms that can be made in the future can technically be endless. Also it means the info could be up todate with the nostalgia twist of the 90’s AOL gui
