Try Buddy Lists!
Added 2023-05-06 19:57:51 +0000 UTCFound a reference to a form I had completely forgotten about from my time on AOL, the Try Buddy Lists! form.
This form would load whenever a user logged in to AOL who hadn't set up the Buddy List yet.
So here it is, when new users log in they'll be greeted with this window from where they can choose to close the form or set up the buddy list. Once the Buddy List is set up this form will no longer show, except if the Buddy List is closed at any time before the user logs out of the system, then on the next login the Try Buddy Lists! form will load again - this was something I elected on doing to remind users about the Buddy List, otherwise, you have to find it in the Members menu, or via keyword BuddyView.
I've taken a short break from creating lost forms to do more digging through archived files for said lost content, and other neat old AOL stuff. This is where I found a reference to the Try Buddy Lists!, which brought back the memories of it so I had to implement it before I continued my searching journey.
I have A.D.D. so I jump around a lot - like a bird in a tree jumping from branch to branch.
I also found references to the Create another Username and Setting up the master account forms, so guess what I'll be piecing together!?
