I'm back - update on my situation

Some of you folks may know about my situation, and my absents over the last couple months via my post(s) in #news on Discord.

For those that don't here's a brief recap:
A few months ago a close member of my family passed away. This person was close during my childhood, including my teens and on to my late teens when my life started taking turns to where, eventually, we stopped speaking and keeping in touch. Life went on, shit happened; lots of it, with an every know and then moment where I would think about this person and wonder how they were doing but never reaching out. Side effect of the progressive mental illness of depression, I guess...

The day prior to their passing I had been in one of those moments of remembering and wondering. I had even pulled out Google Maps to explore my old stomping grounds and this persons house. I was surprised to see they still lived in the same house - I could tell by the colors of the house, and vehicles, trailers in the yard. No one in their right mind would paint their house in light stucco with lime/mint green accenting around the window frames, doors, eves, etc and keep it those same colors for over 27 years. Yeah, they still lived there. I had been thinking about his kids, and the shit we'd do, the trouble we'd get into, even took the maps journey to check if I could still see the remnants of an old fort we had all built out in an abandoned part of the city outskirts near the creak that ran near our houses. We lived close to an area that was just on the outskirts of the city, the area near the creak that we'd claimed our own was an old shooting range used by the RCMP from around the 1940's and 50's before they relocated farther out in the 60's at some point.

You couldn't tell it was a shooting range until you actually went down there and started exploring and digging. We found spent bullets by the thousands, cases, the old dugouts enclosures where the dudes that changed the targets took cover under, and things like that. You had to dig to find this stuff, which we did and all this exploring brought questions which we eventually got the answers to, that's how we knew it was an old RCMP shooting range a million years ago.  Anyway, I spent a few hours remembering the stuff we'd do. I felt sad I hadn't talked to them for ~30 years but smiled while remembering and went to bed to wake up to a message of their passing.

Hit me hard...

I took a break...depression and all...

Then my main dev laptop finally followed suit with the magic smoke...

More depression...

But, I'm back. My nephew handed me down his old PC gear so I'm back at it now.

The break allowed me to see where LOTS of improvements to my source could be made so I started making them happen.

I also started creating an FDO91 Language formatting extension for VSCode/VSCodium which you can see in the caption image. I currently have a lot of the area forms hard coded into the source. I want to template these into canned forms like AOL had them back in the day. This will make things so much nicer and easier, not only that will allow the community to learn FDO91 and create their own canned forms for areas of the service that no longer exist.

I'm not done with this project, just struggling will less time to work on it, but I'm not stopping.

Thanks for all the love and support, and my apologies for the lack of updates on here and Discord.

Really wonderful story;) Love this project no matter how long it takes, and besides.... Who cares how long it takes? It's the journey that us devs love on passion projects anyway. Personally I get sad when passion projects I create are finished. (Just my own opinion) Great update, glad you are feeling better bro. ;)
