Hey everyone, now that we've hit 25 patrons I think it's a good time to give an update about the state of the game! This week will be about polishing all of the new content and making it bug-free.
I've been running into an issue where I start doing just that, then get a kinky idea and go on a creative spree implementing it (with some new bugs!). So for the monthly release I'll be introducing one character I HAVE to make (xD) and just making sure everything is running well.
Shoutout to CarrotsMac and others for the patient play-testing and bug reports, you all make this much easier.
About the game though, you may have noticed three sort of paths developing:
1) "Fail" and become a slave to be auctioned away. This is the path of least resistance in my opinion, but still fun
2) Break free and become a free man in Pleasantview making lots of money in the mine or the cafe
3) Scrape by paying rent or maybe get kicked out and live at the mine dormitory for a while
The problems with 2 and 3 is that they just aren't very fleshed out. You run out of things to do with your money. My solution for 2 so far is developing the Slave Auction where you have 4 different slaves you can purchase, and eventually a relationship system where you can date some of the epic girls in this game. For 3, I'm developing a bunch of new districts of Harshville your player can do things in. Not necessarily thriving, but "surviving".
I'm also working on a main story arc and periodic narration that analyzes your situation and updates the story. Once I have a few of these I'm going to release to the Supporter Tier.
