Hey everyone! Here's a WIP of the upcoming Patreon Poll results of Marzie dressed as Catwoman. I thought it might be interesting to see how I process pieces sometimes since I've been trying to get more used to drawing perspective pieces. The images are in reverse order.
As you can see, I started with a pretty basic pose so I could figure out which version of Catwoman I wanted to draw, as well as noodle around with what I wanted to do (or NOT do). In this case, I thought the first pose was pretty boring and uninteresting so I pulled out Design Doll to pose a mannequin in a more dynamic position. You can see how I sketched over the top of the mannequin, using the perspective as a general guide. Then after getting the basic shapes down and tweaking some details, sketching over it once again to get a better idea of the hands, the hair, and other details I want to include before I start cleaning it up.
I chose to go with the 90s Jim Balent version of Catwoman's costume, but my friend Padd convinced me to do a Halle Berry version as well XD - so you have her to thank for that.
What's your favorite version of the character? She has had so many great looks over the years it was hard for me to pick! Catwoman is one of my FAAAAAVORITE anti-heroes and female comic icons. I'm so happy this one won ;w;
