LOL! I remember watching this as a teen, and, despite how many bad films I liked, this was not one of them. Love the 1920 version; and that fragment of the 1914 version is so tantalising. Have also seen the French film from '36, and have a couple of recent films in my to-watch list.

A golem also appeared in an episode of the show Supernatural (a show which shared some producers, writers and directors with The X-Files). The golem was used to fight the immortal members of a Nazi occult group called the Thule society. It was a pretty good episode with a great title: "Everybody hates Hitler".

There is an episode of the X FILES, named 'Kaddish' (Season 4, 15), where a Golem takes revenge on a group of neo-nazis for murder. It's a 'monster of the week' episode and I don' think it is very popular but it stuck with me for the mythological theme and the work of Paul Wegener I was already familiar with.
