So Many Thanks

To all those who are a part of the wave of new Patrons this week, Thank You!  The outpouring of support you have shown here is closing the gap in my finances, which has eased a great burden.  You all are the reason I am able to do this work and have the Lab, even as it looks for a new home.

Over the next few weeks I am sorting and packing, and moving the stuff that is not essential to current projects to the new storage space.  I just finished setting up the first run of shelving in there last night.  My strategy for the interim is a downsizing of the Lab so that I can complete some of these projects and continue making content this winter up to the point that a new space is secured.  My hope is that with this half-move-out strategy that the time in which the Lab is shut down from the actual pull-down and move-out should be minimized.

I am worrying much less this morning, and keeping my head in the work ahead.  Thanks to you all for providing this safety net.

sorry i can't help more, but..... every drop we all can give adds up i guess.... i enjoy your content, so i have no trouble helping with what i can.

It's a real shame about the money you lost almost a year's lease you won't get. If there is a way to get some of that money back, you really should try.

I'm with you Fran, and I will continue my support both emotionally, and Financially Until you tell me that you no longer need it. I personally can't wait to see a new video where you are giving us a video tour of your new lab. Stick with it and Don't lose hope. I know you'll come out on top. I just hope it's sooner than later.

Just discovered your YT channel yesterday Fran - I know you do plenty of other stuff, but your YT output alone made me want to support you a little bit via Patreon. I hope the FranLab move continues to go in the right direction :o)

You 'sound' so much better now; Keep your lovely positive head up - Rooting for you, Fran, from a Franfan

I became a Patreon yesterday after I saw your video about the eviction. The bastards! Hope you get something good and permanent sorted out soon x

hello me new, good luck with finding a new place =)

Hang in there. We're pulling for you.

Great news Fran! I will send you a little gift. / Regards, Joacim :)

I live in Marlton, work in Philly, and own a pickup truck. Let me know if I can help!

I hate leaving a space that I have made into home. If there is anything that I can do to help, please do the hard thing and ask. I'm down in southern NJ a few times a year to visit friends and would totally make myself available to tow a few barges and lift a few bails to keep Fran in the Lab business! I am 100% serious and a woman of my word. My life is better with FranLab in it. <3

The crate is my standard unit of storage also. I'll likely make a video about the system...

I believe that Go Fund Me may not be the way to go, but I imagine there must be a less bureaucratic way to get funds on a one time basis from your fans to you. Perhaps a special bank account that we could send e-checks to? Beyond this emergency, there are probably larger scale projects that would motivate the fan base to make additional one-time donations. (I can think of two off the top of my head, the Apollo flight computer and the old-school photographer.) Just thinking out loud.

George - If Fran is anything like me, I get that initial ‘hit’ of worry when something like this happens, and then after a day or two, the practical side of me takes over and just deals with the reality of the situation. It is often the case that things work out a lot better than you initially think. The important thing is for Fran to know that we are all here to support her, even if it is from afar!

Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems Fran is not as worried about her predicament as we are. Well, I hope she's able to move forward.

I have no plans to crowd source this singular problem, the Patreon is a big help.

As someone who had to clean out 4 homes in 4 years due to personal moves and unexpected loss of family members, I've sadly become really proficient at packing and optimizing storage space. What really helped was to pack all items into stackable plastic bins (with the interlocking plastic lids) and then arrange them on wheeled 4 tier baker's racks which allow 3-4 bins per tier (depending on the shelf width) -- just measure off the vertical spacing for each tier. This allows you to fill the storage space from top to bottom without needing an aisle. You just wheel out the racks to access things in back. Almost zero wasted space.

I advised against it because of the numerous tax/tariff/fee issues with that campaign, because the campaign was launched in Canada. 3rd parties and governments would have taken a very significant portion of those funds, and I thought it would be too wasteful of people's resources.

Fran, please start a GoFundMe.........I'm a Patreon, but also want to donate again to the GoFundMe.

I don't know what happened to the GoFundMe page that returned my donation. Do you have any ideas?

Sounds like a good plan Fran. I still think setting up a gofundme to help with the move is a good idea. I know there are a lot of viewers out there that don’t want to make the monthly commitment of Patreon but would be happier to give you a one time payment which gofundme is good for.

Just became a patreon of Franlab to do my bit to try and help you power forward :). Good luck!
