Thank you for the golden arrow!! (I apologize in advance for the paragraphs.) Pretty sure I stopped breathing when I heard my name!! I love you all (listeners/patrons included) and this pod so much, when I tell you listening to you guys helped me laugh during times when I truly was struggling to I mean it. Thank you for you being yourselves and sharing your gifts of comedy and comfort allowing it to heal others ❤️ It may not be what’s in your resumes/job descriptions but trust me our lives are better because each of you are in it and have chosen to express and live through this special vocation and share it with us through this pod amongst other avenues. Context for the delayed response: I live full-time in NYC but am currently traveling in South Africa for the first time (long story lol) which is why I am so late to listening. Anyway, I haven’t had access to Internet for a while + there is a time difference. Lastly, as I am reflecting on Kylie and I volunteer firefighting* some summers ago in Siandiego I wanted to say I miss you too! * This is unfortunately very apropos and I wish it were as simple as us finding many fires. I want to sorry to those all those who have suffered devastating losses for the real fires, everyone please stay safe and have hope that your life will regain a sense of calm instead of the current chaos. To Angela, in our shared time in Siandiego I couldn’t believe we were able to get a snickers bar into the middle of a Trader Joe’s frozen croissant, I will cherish that time and aim to prove we can make it happen again someday in the beautiful Siandiego. To Jeremy, my military brother in Siandiego let’s vow to never speak of what went south ever again. Finally, to Patrick I’m not gonna bullshit ya, the conversation in your basement was fucking transcendent and I forgive you. See you all in Siandiego soon! P.S. I will be watching the live show from home when it happens but know that I would be there if my schedule and bank account allowed it 🫶
