Monday's updates #72

First things first, apologies for no updates in the past 10 days. I was a bit burned out from Blender in general + DBD is actually hot garbage. Now everything should resume tho!

And I've still done a few things in the meantime, mainly rendering the Kate animation. This is going to take way longer than I thought. Rendering in Eevee doesn't look as good as I expected, the only good thing on eevee is that fog makes the athmosphere better in angles where the background is very visible. But just having fog for the intro and then having dogshit material quality beside that isn't worth, so I'm gonna render in Cycles. Tried 100 samples with denoise and the noise is really really bad, so I'm gonna have to render in 300 samples, which is around 40-45 seconds per frame. Around 10 hours for a scene. And another thing which I forgot about is that there's a phone camera too which I also have to render separately. So main angle / phone camera angle is 2 angles x 6 outfits x 8 scenes which is a fuck ton of time, so animation is delayed for a few weeks to make sure everything looks good.

Wanted to do a pic for Elodie's new skin, I'm probably gonna finish it this week and post the Observer alts from last poll alongside it. I'm not happy with lighting here so some things are gonna change, but here's what we have so far. Just a basic beach pic which will have some versions with clothing on too, to showcase her new skin which is so damn good.

Wanted to do a render for Michonne too, already have my idea in mind. She's gonna be slashing some zombies - TWD style, but this time its gonna be nemesis zombies since thats the only ones we have xD

And since DBD is actually unplayable now, I'm gonna try to expand my stuff to other games too. Marvel Rivals is something I've been playing for a while and is really fun, so you can expect some rivals in the future alongside other stuff. Done a little WWE comm too which turned out pretty cute, I'll post that in Discord as a server exclusive (in #new-releases) since idk how many of you would be interested in that anyways: Rhea x Liv!

Next post here will be either Elodie's beach render + Observer alts (Thalita/Claire/Maria) or Mikaela/Wraith part 4 on Thursday. If I finish the alts before Thursday then that, if not then Mikaela last part on Thursday, alongside vote for the next build-your-own-story!
