September Practice Day

So for this month I learned about a figure drawing class that was available in my area! I've been looking for something like this for a long time as a way to really practice my human anatomy, dramatic lighting, posework, etc and I really found it fulfilling and certainly plan on going again!

Here are some of the sketches I did! Some were one-minute poses, some were two-minute poses that I did gestural sketches for, and then the model did two hour-long poses (the first pose I broke down into a full body piece, a focus on his head, and then a focus on his lower body and feet). The second pose I used the full hour to work on more lighting effects and incorporating the pillows and drapery in the background.

I'm really happy I got to do this opportunity and thanks to YOU guys, my patrons, for helping support me and afford me these opportunities to improve my art!
