I agree! That's the hard part for every game developer I believe :)

That's cool, agreement is boring anyway. =p Point and click can get boring as well. What makes a game boring is how much down time or repetitive uselessness is in the game. If you're constantly repeating actions, it's goign to get old really fast unless there is different results a lot of the time. I have you followed to try it when it gets farther. I'm just not interested in early RPGmaker games. =]

I was just wondering, out of curiosity. If your personal preference is a more story based game, in most cases the RPG makers doesn't really fit your taste. Personaly I like the RPG makers more because of the controll it gives the user and find my self easily bored with the click simulators, no offense if you like them. I don't agree with your statement, I think that alot of RPG games is different!

I don't know the engine names, but I like the ones that are less about moving around and more about interaction or story. Semi Visual Novel, with clickables I suppose? Walking around in RPGmaker kills every game I've ever played in RPGmaker. Except The Last Sovereign, but that one is amazing and difficult to compare to. Really this is just my own preference. I'm not asking you to change for lil ol' me. Just keep in mind for the future, that RPGmaker is oversaturated with creators. Play one, play them all. What makes yours different? (rhetorical, just to get you thinking)
