I think Neji has every right to be angry. He as a member of the branch family is practically a slave to the head family with no way of rebelling against it since they can kill him at any point. Also you seem to be misunderstanding something: Neji's father was not killed for trying to kill Hinata, he wasn't, he was killed because he was needed to be sacrificed instead of the head family. (As Neji says at 21:12 he "was killed as a body double") And like you said this is the destiny of the branch family. Exactly the same thing Neji is always talking about: destiny that one cannot escape from. If it is acceptable for the branch family to be sacrificed for the sake of the head family because that is their destiny then what Neji saying about one being a loser as a matter of destiny also should be acceptable. Also Naruto is simply wrong here: "But it's a huge mistake for you to think that has determined your entire destiny." Neji simply being born to the branch family DOES completely determine his destiny since it is not possible to remove the curse, it is permanent until one's death. His destiny is completely predetermined and unavoidable. Naruto is just wrong here. You calling Neji a dickhead for simply stating that Naruto was born as a failure is not really fair as Neji was born as a slave as his destiny. You hating Neji because he was "supposed to protect Hinata" is exactly the unavoidable destiny he's talking about. Why was he "supposed to protect Hinata"? Just because he was born to the branch family and that is his destiny.

Essentially Nejis father was jealous that the only reason he was labeled "branch family" was due to being born seconds after his twin brother. Seeing Hinata at the time so weak in her development and knowing his sons capabilities his jealousy surfaced which was where the momentary intent to kill came from. Seeing how the curse mark attacked his father is what showed Neji how they as a people were viewed as objects and were essentially branded as "less than" that of the head family. I dont think Nejis father wanted to kill Hinata the Jealousy juat took over. Neji then losing his father as a child and knowing that it was all in sacrifice for a head family that branded him left him as angry, resentful and by your own admission a fuck face...
